Cotton Ticking Higher to Kick Off 2025

Cotton futures are up 62 to 67 points at Thursday’s midday, with contracts rallying to start the new year.  The outside factors are mixed on the day as the US dollar index is up 839 points, with crude oil $1.60/barrel higher. 

The Seam reported 7,129 bales of online sales on December 31 at an average price of 51.61 cents/lb.  ICE cotton stocks were unchanged on Tuesday, at 20,113 bales of certified stocks. The Cotlook A Index was down 50 points on 12/31 at 78.90 cents/lb. The USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) was cut by another 54 points last week to 54.55 cents/lb. It is will be updated later today.

Mar 25 Cotton  is at 69.02, up 62 points,

May 25 Cotton  is at 70.15, up 66 points,

Jul 25 Cotton  is at 71.17, up 67 points
