Cotton Gaining on Wednesday

The cotton futures market is trading 71 to 93 points higher so far for the midweek session. Hurricane Delta is currently on track to hit the mainland by Saturday, with Delta crops in the crosshairs. August Census data showed the first month for 2020/21 cotton shipments was 1.424m bales. The Daily Spot Cotton Quotations report from USDA showed 3,188 bales sold on Tuesday for an average gross price of 61.22 cents. The Cotlook A index for 10/06 was 25 points higher to 71.55 cents/lb. The Adjusted World Price for cotton is 50.67 cents/lb, with a 1.33 cent LDP. Both will be updated tomorrow after the close.

Dec 20 Cotton is at 67.78, up 92 points

Mar 21 Cotton is at 68.46, up 74 points

May 21 Cotton is at 69.03, up 71 points

Jul 21 Cotton is at 69.50, up 81 points
